IMM Faperta Chairman 2025-2026 Awarded Best Graduate of Agribusiness Program at Unismuh Makassar

MAKASSAR — Ilyas Julianto, S.P., has been recognized as the top graduate of the Agribusiness Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (Unismuh Makassar). This achievement was a highlight during the Faculty of Agriculture's Yudisium and Social Gathering, held at the Swiss-Bel Panakkukang Hotel in Makassar on Monday, October 19, 2026.

This accomplishment is particularly significant because Ilyas not only excelled academically, but also actively participated in organizational and kader (cadre) activities within the Ikatan Mahasiswa Muhammadiyah (IMM). This demonstrates that student activities can be effectively managed to complement academic achievements.

During his time as a student, Ilyas served as the Chairman of the Faculty of Agriculture's IMM Komisariat (PIKOM), holding the position from 2025-2026. This experience was crucial for his academic and personal development, particularly in building leadership, responsibility, communication skills, and social awareness.

Ilyas's commitment to organizing was also evident through his participation in IMM's tiered kader program, including Darul Arqam Dasar (DAD), Darul Arqam Madya (DAM), and Latihan Instruktur Dasar (LID). These experiences strengthened his leadership capabilities, understanding of organizational ideology, and ability to fulfill the roles of a kader and organizational leader.

Currently, Ilyas is also a Coordinator of the IMM Unismuh Makassar Komisariat. This involvement demonstrates his continued commitment to contributing to student organization development within the university environment.

Ilyas's achievement as the top graduate of the Agribusiness Program demonstrates that organizational and academic achievements can coexist. Involvement in organizations provides valuable learning experiences in developing interpersonal skills, leadership, discipline, and teamwork abilities. These skills are also essential for preparing graduates for the workforce and social life.

The Head of the Agribusiness Program at Unismuh Makassar, Muh. Ikmal Saleh, S.P., M.Si., congratulated Ilyas and praised his achievement. He believes that this is a noteworthy accomplishment that can inspire other students, particularly IMM members in the Faculty of Agriculture.

He hopes that Ilyas's success will motivate IMM members in the Faculty of Agriculture to continuously improve their skills, diligently pursue their studies, and develop their abilities through organizational and academic activities.

According to him, students should utilize their time in college to develop comprehensive competencies, including knowledge mastery, leadership skills, and the ability to adapt to various challenges. This will enable graduates to achieve academic success and also contribute meaningfully after completing their education.

Ilyas Julianto's achievement, recognized during the Faculty of Agriculture's Yudisium and Social Gathering at Unismuh Makassar, exemplifies that active student involvement can coexist with academic achievements. By combining education, organizational experience, and continuous kader development, students can grow into competent, character-driven graduates with a commitment to community development.
