Religious Education, KKP Unismuh Students Distribute the Quran and Iqra in Libureng Village
BARU — Students from the Community Service Program (KKP) Posko 08 of the Libureng Village, Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar, once again demonstrated their concern for the community through social and religious activities.
On Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the KKP Posko 08 students distributed the Quran and Iqra to several Qur'an schools (TPA) located in various villages in Libureng Village, Tanete Riaja Subdistrict, Barru Regency.
The activity was part of the students' contribution during their service program in the community. In addition to strengthening ties with residents, the distribution of aid was intended to support the availability of religious learning facilities for children who actively participate in the recitation activities.
The Quran and Iqra were provided by remote students and subsequently distributed by the KKP Posko 08 students to TPA in each village of Libureng Village.
The students directly visited the TPA to deliver aid to teachers and students. This moment not only served as a distribution activity but also as a space for interaction between the students and children who were pursuing Quranic education.
The availability of the Quran and Iqra is an important part in supporting the process of learning to read the Quran. With these learning materials, students are expected to participate in recitation activities more effectively, as well as have the opportunity to learn independently outside of TPA activities.
The enthusiasm was evident in the positive reception of the teachers and students when receiving the aid. The presence of the KKP students also created a different atmosphere for the children, and motivated them to be more enthusiastic in learning and studying the Quran.
For the KKP Posko 08 students, this activity was one form of service that is not only academically oriented, but also touches on the social and religious needs of the community.
Through collaboration with remote students, the students also contributed to providing learning facilities that could be used by children in various villages of Libureng Village.
"We hope that the Quran and Iqra can be used well by students and teachers, and provide benefits for the continuity of the recitation activities in every TPA in Libureng Village," said the KKP Posko 08 students.
The activity also served as proof that the presence of students in the community can be realized through various simple actions that have a real impact. The distributed aid is expected not only to be a handover but can also be used sustainably to support the religious education of children in Libureng Village.
Through this activity, the KKP Posko 08 students hope that more children will have access to Quran learning facilities and grow into a generation who love, understand, and cherish the Quran.
