AgroVista UMM Student Team Wins 3rd Place in National Videography Competition

MAKASSAR – Students from the Agrotechnology Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar (Unismuh Makassar), have once again achieved national recognition. The AgroVista team won 3rd place in the videography category at the Photography and Videography Competition organized by the Himpunan Mahasiswa Agribisnis (HIMAGRI), Faculty of Agriculture, University of Udayana, Bali.

The AgroVista team consists of three students from the 2024 Agrotechnology program, namely Jannatun Alia as team leader, along with Nurul Astika and Asriana as members. This achievement demonstrates that students not only have the opportunity to develop academic competencies, but also to hone their creativity and communication skills in the visual field.

The competition carried the theme "Green Lens of Nusantara: Integrating Agriculture and Tourism in Indonesia." This theme encourages participants to explore the potential of Indonesian agriculture through creative and communicative visual works, while also showcasing the relationship between the agricultural sector and tourism and the natural wealth of Nusantara.

Through the videography competition, students were challenged to develop ideas into engaging audiovisual works that can convey messages to the public. Video media also provides a platform for young people to introduce the potential of Indonesian agriculture from a fresh, creative, and relevant perspective to digital communication.

The AgroVista team's participation in this national competition provides an opportunity to broaden their experience outside the university, enhance technical skills, and develop teamwork abilities. These experiences are important in shaping adaptive, innovative, and effective communicators.

Winning 3rd place is a proud achievement for the AgroVista team and adds to the record of achievements for the Agrotechnology Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Unismuh Makassar. This achievement is hoped to motivate other students to continue developing their potential, producing innovative works, and actively participating in various academic and non-academic competitions.

The AgroVista team's achievements also demonstrate that creativity and mastery of digital media can be a strategic tool for introducing the agricultural sector to the public. With a spirit of creativity and competition, students are expected to continue contributing to promoting Indonesian agriculture and upholding the reputation of Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar at the national level.
