Unismuh Forestry Program Socializes PMB at SMKN Forestry Makassar

UNISMUH.AC.ID, MAKASSAR - The Admission Promotion Team (PMB) for the Forestry Study Program at the Faculty of Agriculture, Muhammadiyah University of Makassar (Unismuh) Makassar, held a PMB socialization event at SMKN Forestry Makassar on Friday, January 23, 2026. The event took place in the SMKN Forestry Makassar auditorium and was attended by 101 students, school representatives, and the PMB promotion team for the Forestry Study Program.

The purpose of this socialization was to provide information regarding opportunities to continue studies at a university, particularly in the Forestry Study Program, as well as to introduce various academic programs, career prospects, and scholarship opportunities available to graduates of SMKN Forestry.

In his opening remarks, Bangun Dwi Prasetyo, as the Head of Public Relations for SMKN Forestry Makassar, expressed his appreciation and thanked the Unismuh Makassar Forestry Study Program promotion team for taking the time to share important information with the students. He hoped that the event would motivate the students to pursue higher education, particularly in the field of forestry.

"We greatly appreciate the presence of the promotion team, which provided a real glimpse into university life, scholarship opportunities, and the future prospects of forestry graduates. This information is very beneficial to our students," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Forestry Study Program at Unismuh Makassar, Ir. Jauhar Mukti, S.Hut., M.Hut., IPM, emphasized the importance of continuing education by choosing the Forestry Study Program. According to him, the Forestry Study Program has a wide range of career prospects, adequate academic services, and has been accredited as "Excellent," making it a strategic choice for prospective students.

"The Forestry Study Program not only offers promising career opportunities but also provides strong competence to face challenges in the forestry and environmental sectors," he explained.

The socialization materials were delivered directly by Rahmat Ariandi, S.Hut., M.Hut., as a lecturer in the Forestry Study Program and a member of the PMB promotion team. The materials covered the profile of the Forestry Study Program, the academic system, scholarship opportunities, career prospects for graduates, as well as the registration process for new students at Muhammadiyah University of Makassar.

The socialization event was conducted interactively and enthusiastically. The promotion team also provided rewards to students who actively asked questions and participated during the event, further enhancing the enthusiasm of the participants.

This socialization event at SMKN Forestry Makassar marked the beginning of the Forestry Study Program at Unismuh Makassar's 2026 PMB promotion activities. The promotion team plans to conduct similar events in several areas, including Barru, Pinrang, Gowa, and Polowali Mandar (Polman), scheduled to take place in February 2026.

Through this event, the Forestry Study Program at Unismuh Makassar hopes to attract qualified prospective students and increase the interest of young people in contributing to the field of forestry and environmental conservation.
